The Correct Sequence to Install SIEMENS PLC S7 300

A Programmable logic controller (PLC) is a digital computer used for automation in various industries.
A PLC is an example of a hard real time system since output results must be produced in response to input conditions within a limited time, otherwise unintended operation will result.
SIEMENS PLC S7 300 is a Simatic 300 ( family ) PLC having features as Simatic manager which makes it compatible with SCADA and HMI.
 In this article we will learn the correct sequence of installation of S7 300 and other peripherals.

The only possible sequence of installation of S7 300 and other modules are given below

Position 1, on din rail ( rack) is reserved for power system (PS) as SMPS .
Position 2, on din rail is reserved for PLC 300 ( CPU )
Position 3, on din rail is for interface module (IM).
Position 4, on din rail is reserved for signal module (SM)
Position 5, on din rail is for functional module (FM)
position 6, on din rail is for communication process (CP) , through which max. 32 stations can be connected.
